Helpful Tips for Fitness Success
It is important to have a deadline for your fitness. Have parameters and goals-it forces you to get creative, and being creative means you’ve finally run out of excuses to procrastinate. Look for answers- there is always more than one way to do everything. You don’t like certain exercises, there are others. You don’t like certain foods, there are others. The important part is that you are looking.
The truth is, there is someone in your life that will die from being overweight. It may be a parent, a sibling or someone that you work with. When you consider the epidemic of obesity that is happening in our country, it seems as though our culture is beginning to accept obesity as a way of life. If this is the case, it will become the norm for people to die from obesity causes.
One of the best strategies you can adopt as you journey toward fitness is to set goals for yourself. If you do not know what you are working for, you will more than likely quite working. Set some small goals that you can track and measure as you progress. Be sure to reward yourself as you meet these goals.
There are times when your fitness is not as important as your work, and family. But never more important than your health. If time is getting tough to juggle because of work, family, life- don’t stop working out. Just shift to the non-negotiable maintenance routine, or what we call 3x/week for 30 minutes routine. Your routine should never be less, and everyone can fit that in.
Cost should not keep you from reaching your fitness goals either. For about the price of a cup of coffee each day, you can belong to a gym. And it only takes about one and one-half hours of exercise each week to be healthy. Just make sure to give each workout your very best, so that you are making good use of every minute you work out.
Only thing that stands in people’s way of success in life or fitness is past beliefs about themselves, negativity, habits, social influences, and stage of life they choose to be in. Make a plan and this can change. Stop the wheel of negativity and tell yourself you are going ok. Don’t get dragged down in the past. Only person responsible for what you get in life is YOU.
